Camera and motion
The camera is used for the live preview and local lighting and color calculations. Kaenyr processes camera frames on the device and does not upload them. A preview thumbnail is saved only when you explicitly enable that option, and it remains inside the application’s private local storage rather than the system photo library.
Device-motion information is used only while measuring to assess reading stability. It is processed locally, is not retained as a motion history and is not transmitted by Kaenyr.
Location, Sun and weather
Location is optional. Precise location is used on the device for Sun and Moon calculations, including sunrise, sunset, twilight phases and solar position. Those calculations work without sending precise location to Manazyr.
Weather is an optional Kaenyr Pro feature. It remains off until you explicitly enable it, and Kaenyr requests a forecast only when you ask. Before the direct HTTPS request, latitude and longitude are rounded to two decimal places. The rounded coordinates and your device’s IP address are then received by MET Norway. They are not sent to or retained by Manazyr, and weather does not refresh in the background.
MET Norway processes this request to provide the forecast and for service operation, security and statistics. Its API terms state that access logs store the user IP address together with any coordinates in the request, and those logs are stored in MET’s data center in Oslo. MET’s privacy policy states that IP addresses for meteorological services without a login are retained for up to 90 days. This weather processing is not used by Kaenyr or Manazyr for advertising or tracking. Review the MET Weather API Terms of Service and MET Norway Privacy Policy.
Osenyr AI
Osenyr AI in version 1.0 is a bounded, offline assistant. A local question and response remain only in the active in-memory conversation and are not uploaded or used for training. Osenyr can read only the technical device, camera, calibration and locked-reading context that Kaenyr explicitly provides. It cannot access camera frames, modify saved data or browse the internet.
Production Osenyr AI Online is disabled in version 1.0. Any future online service will require a separately reviewed consent flow, public retention terms and an updated policy before questions or technical context can be transmitted.
Saved measurements and calibration
History, notes, optional coordinates, thumbnails, preferences, calibration profiles and backup files are stored locally. Version 1.0 has no Manazyr account or automatic cloud synchronization. A file leaves the app only when you choose an operating-system Share or Export action.
Purchases
Kaenyr Pro purchases are processed by Apple App Store. Kaenyr receives storefront status and verification material needed to unlock a purchase, but it does not receive payment-card information. Raw receipts are excluded from History, diagnostic exports and Kaenyr backup packages. Optional developer-support purchases are disabled in the public version 1.0 candidate.
Diagnostics
A privacy-safe diagnostic report is created only when you request it. It may contain the app/build version, device capabilities, database schema, camera metadata availability, performance summaries and non-private error codes. It excludes camera frames and private notes unless you deliberately choose a separate content export. Kaenyr does not upload diagnostic reports automatically.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
Version 1.0 contains no advertising SDK, behavioral analytics SDK or tracking technology. Manazyr does not sell measurement, camera, location or History data.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete records, restore other data, remove application data or uninstall Kaenyr. The app offers local History management, calibration reset and backup/export controls. Because version 1.0 has no Manazyr-hosted account or content store, there is no server account to delete.
Children
Kaenyr is a camera utility and is not directed at children. Manazyr does not knowingly collect personal information from children through this version.
