LTX-2.5 moves closer to post-production with Retake, HDR/EXR and native ComfyUI support

Lightricks’ public LTX-2.5 model repository was updated on August 12, under model terms dated August 11. The official implementation recommends LTX-2.5 and documents full and distilled 22B audio-video models. Access to the weights is gated by acceptance of the model terms and a Hugging Face read token; this is a self-hosted model release, not a generally available hosted editing service.

The documented pipeline includes Retake for regenerating a selected time region, keyframe interpolation, image and video transforms, detail-and-fidelity refinement, two-stage high-quality generation and HDR workflows. It can ingest EXR stills or frame folders in sRGB linear, ACEScg or ACEScct and produce half-float EXR frames plus a BT.2020/HLG master. ComfyUI 0.32.0, released August 11, adds native LTX-2.5 support and low-VRAM and tiled-decoding fixes. The LTX quick-start download is approximately 66 GiB, before working media and generated outputs.

Retake and EXR/HDR handling make LTX-2.5 more relevant to an existing post pipeline than a prompt-only demo. The key word is control, not certainty: replacing one interval can still alter continuity, motion, identity or sound, and an EXR output does not guarantee scene-linear accuracy. Every generated or materially altered shot needs human review and clear disclosure appropriate to its use.

We will test temporal seams around Retake regions, identity and camera continuity, audio synchronisation, EXR round trips, HDR metadata, memory and render times on practical hardware. The community licence requires careful review: organisations with at least $10 million in annual revenue need a paid licence for commercial use, whose price is not public. Model, API and ComfyUI partner-node terms and costs remain separate.
