Lightroom 9.4 combines assisted culling, AI Sharpen and photo-to-video
One workflow now combines captured-image selection, generative sharpening and synthetic motion—three operations that need different disclosure rules.

Lightroom 9.4 arrived in June; Adobe now documents 9.5 as the current August release. The June update added Faces evaluations to Assisted Culling, AI Sharpen powered by Topaz and photo-to-video generation.
Adobe classifies AI Sharpen as generative and documents a cost of 10 credits up to 25 MP and 20 credits from 25 to 56 MP. Generate Video can use Firefly Video or listed Google Veo models, consumes credits and currently keeps generated stacks in the cloud.
MANAZYR perspective
Assisted culling organises captured material, AI Sharpen generates an interpretation of detail, and Generate Video creates frames that were never captured. A common interface should not erase those distinctions.
What we’re watching
Sharpened output can contain plausible rather than historically true detail and should not be used as evidentiary restoration. Generated video needs clear AI labelling. Credits, plans, regions and partner models may change.
