Leica Q3 firmware 4.1.1 fixes wireless-charging shutdown, profiles and remote wake-up

The Q-family maintenance update addresses three operational bugs rather than adding headline features. Leica’s release notes cover Q3, Q3 43 and Q3 Monochrom, while each owner should use the download page for the exact camera model.

What we know

Leica’s official Q3 download page now lists firmware 4.1.1 and English release notes for the Q3, Q3 43 and Q3 Monochrom. The page does not display a release date; the official English PDF was present on Leica’s server by August 5 and MANAZYR rechecked the live page on August 14.

The notes say the camera now switches off automatically when wireless charging is detected, fixing a case where it could remain on. They also address an unexpected switch to the default user profile and a connection failure after remote wake-up with certain Leica Looks or autofocus-mode settings.

02

MANAZYR perspective

This is a small update with practical consequences. A profile reset can silently change a prepared camera, while failed remote wake-up can interrupt a tethered or phone-controlled workflow. The sensible approach is to export or note critical settings, update the exact model and verify the camera before a paid shoot.

What we’re watching

We are watching for model-specific download availability, reports of regressions and any more detailed Leica advisory. Firmware installation should not be interrupted, and the release notes warn that date, time and language may need to be set again after a menu-based update.
