Insta360 X6 goes on sale in Romania with 8K/50fps 360 capture and larger sensors

Insta360 introduced the X6 on August 12, 2026. When MANAZYR checked the official storefront configured for Romania on August 14, it marked the camera ‘Available now,’ showed a €699 Standard Bundle and allowed it to be added to the cart. The bundle includes the camera, one Xtreme Battery, a USB-C cable and a protective pouch, but no microSD card.

The manufacturer lists two custom square 1/1.1-inch Sony sensors, with a claimed 33% larger sensor area than the X5. X6 records 360 video at up to 8K/50fps and 120-megapixel 360 photos. It weighs 196g, offers 47GB of usable internal storage and uses a 2,600mAh battery; Insta360 claims 140 minutes at 8K/30fps and waterproofing to 20 metres without a case.

The meaningful change is not 8K resolution alone. Larger sensors and a 50fps ceiling could provide more latitude for reframing, motion and low-light capture—the situations where 360 cameras often lose detail after cropping and stabilisation. Specifications cannot yet show whether that advantage survives stitching, export and compression, or how long X6 sustains 8K/50fps in real production.

We are watching for independent comparisons with X5, GoPro MAX2 and DJI Osmo 360, battery and thermal behaviour at 8K/50fps, stitch-line quality, retained detail after reframing, Romanian delivery times and after-sales support. We will separately verify the conditions for cloud- or subscription-dependent workflows rather than treating every advertised AI function as local and included.
