ComfyUI 0.33.1 adds Bria editing and MiniMax 2K regeneration through paid cloud nodes
The stable release expands Partner Nodes with Bria tools for fill, erase, expand and resolution enhancement, plus MiniMax services for contextual restoration and 2K regeneration. These are paid cloud calls, not models running locally in ComfyUI.

What we know
ComfyUI 0.33.1 was published on August 13 at 22:18 UTC, or August 14 at 01:18 in Romania. It adds Bria GenFill, Eraser, Expand and Increase Resolution nodes, alongside MiniMax ContextIR and ‘Regenerate to 2K.’ The release also introduces MiniMax Music 3 and CUDA Graph support in the core application.
The update fixes issues affecting KSamplerAdvanced, PreviewAny, the LTX diffusion decoder, Gemma4 and dynamic-VRAM handling under WSL. Bria and MiniMax are Partner Nodes: users need a Comfy account, prepaid credits and an Internet connection, while files are processed through external services. The official table uses 211 credits per US dollar, but release notes do not assign a separate price to each new node.

The key change is the boundary between local and cloud processing. ComfyUI remains an open, locally operated interface, yet these nodes send material to external providers and consume credits per operation. ‘Regenerate to 2K’ is a feature name and stated output target, not proof that genuine detail has been recovered or that it outperforms conventional upscaling.
